At Woodrush Rugby Club, we believe the future of rugby lies in inspiring the next generation. Our Mini and Junior section is dedicated to creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can develop rugby skills, build confidence, and forge lifelong friendships.
Every Sunday at 10:30 AM, our Mini and Junior teams come together to enjoy rugby in all its forms – from Tag Rugby and Touch Rugby to full Contact Rugby. Catering to children as young as 3, our sessions are designed to encourage a love for the game while promoting teamwork and personal growth.
With around 35 children currently involved across three age groups, we’re proud to see the next generation of rugby players thrive in our inclusive and supportive community.
Rugby offers a wealth of benefits for children:
At Woodrush, we provide a well-rounded experience that helps children grow both on and off the pitch.
The RFU season runs for 28 weeks, but we keep the fun going with summer camps and lighter training sessions outside the main season.
We also host Mixed Touch Rugby sessions for children in school years 4–6 on Wednesday evenings, providing even more chances to stay active and engaged.
